JANUARY - Mini Creations - Dried flowers​

Join me to send away those January blues to create some mini dried flower projects. Create sustainable mini dried flower wreath and a miniature ikebana inspired arrangement for your bedside table, reminding us that spring is coming and soon we'll be harvesting fresh flowers again! The perfect workshop for mindfulness, escape to the flower studio in the field for a couple of hours of creativity.

 

All equipment provided. No experience needed.

FEBRUARY - Seed to Stem - Introduction to growing Hardy Annuals​

See where our flowers are grown, and chat about the different types of flowers we grow here at Ashley. Learn about our 'No Dig' bed system and why we use it, followed by my recommendations for early sowing and a 'how to sow for success' guide with demos along the way. Go home with some trays ready sown to get you started.

 A great way to relax and learn how to get those seeds started for best results!

MARCH - Mother's Day Bouquet Workshop

Master the spiraling technique to create your own luxury bouquet to gift for Mothering Sunday.

I will demonstrate, and then be on hand to help you design your hand tied bouquet using a mix of fresh home grown foliage and flowers, supplemented with British grown blooms from larger growers.

​

Together we will gift wrap your hand tied bouquet for the perfect presentation.

​

All materials are supplied, no experience is needed.

March - The Spring Wreath

​

Create your own sustainable Spring Door Wreath perfect for Easter celebrations with a mixture of spring bulbs, flowers and foliage. I will demonstrate and discuss the mechanics involved before you create your own sustainable arrangement with fresh scented foliage and gorgeous spring flowering bulbs to adorn your front door!

April- Preparing for a Wedding  - The Bridal Flowers

Wedding Flower Workshop

Coffee and introductions in the field workshop at 10am.

During this workshop we will discuss how to prepare for a DIY wedding! Getting involved with this part of the day is a memorable experience that makes the occasion more personal to the wonderful couple in question! The aim is to inspire confidence in you to create your own wedding flowers.

​

During the day we'll explore....

​​

Flower and foliage types needed to create romantic wedding florals.

How many stems?

How to look after the blooms once collected?

Pre-arranging preparation for flowers and other equipment needed.

Sustainable floral techniques

We'll create the following together using foam free floral mechanics...

​

The Bridal Bouquet ​

A button hole 

A top table arrangement 

A large Churn​

​​​

All equipment and refreshments including a light lunch included, no experience needed.

You will create a bouquet and button hole individually, and then together you'll will create a table arrangement and a churn.

​

Other dates can be arranged for this workshop.

MAY - Cut, Condition and Create

Friday 22nd  May 2026

10.00 am - 2.00 pm

We'll start with coffee and introductions in the field, followed by a field tour. As we tour we'll discuss the varieties grown and how to get the best from our cut flowers when they're in the vase. You will have the opportunity to spend time cutting you own florist bucket of flowers, before we head into the workshop to learn how to create a bowl arrangement using sustainable floristry techniques.

​

All equipment is provided, no experience needed as hands on tuition is given along the way with a demo to get you into the swing.

 

Including H​ot /Cold drinks, homemade cake and a light lunch, before heading home with you bowl arrangement to proudly display!

JUNE - Cut & Create a Meadow Arrangement

​

A popular workshop involving a tour of the cutting field, and a quick guide on how to pick the flowers. Spend an hour curating you own bucket before heading back to create a meadow arrangement. A brilliant arrangement to sit along the centre of the kitchen table, side board or mantelpiece using sustainable floistry techniques. Light and airy and full of summer!​

AUGUST- Pick Your Own Blooms!

​

In need of a mindfulness moment or two?

Pre-booking ONLY minimum spend £50 (approx 60 stems)​​​​​

This can be split between two friends for a half bucket each (approx 30 stems)

I will provide  one to one advise on how to cut and condition - your own bespoke experience. We are not a general PYO site so you will experience the field, and all the nature within all to yourself - no hustle and bustle!
